Qualified Domestic Relations Order (QDRO) Preparation

A Qualified Domestic Relations Order (QDRO) is an order that specifically divides a single retirement account into separate accounts in accordance with federal laws. The preparation of a QDRO can be relatively simple or complex depending on how the division of the retirement plan is proposed. The QDRO has to be accepted by the court and the retirement administrator to go into effect. This requires the QDRO preparer to interface with the plan administrator to successfully complete the document.
